What sets me apart is my ability to read cats and meet them where they are. I understand feline body language, stress signals, enrichment, medication routines, and the importance of keeping a cat’s normal routine as consistent as possible while their person is away.
During visits, I’ll make sure your cat has fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and plenty of attention based on their comfort level. For social cats, that can mean playtime, pets, brushing, treats, and lots of conversation. For shy cats, I’m happy to sit quietly and give them time to decide when they’re ready to interact. I never force attention.
I’m dependable, detail-oriented, compassionate, and probably a little cat obsessed. I know how stressful it can be to leave your cats in someone else’s care, and I want you to feel confident that they’re being cared for by someone who will notice the little things.
And yes, you can absolutely expect updates and plenty of cat photos while you’re away!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for family and friends for several years, caring for cats with a variety of personalities, routines, and needs. In addition to pet sitting, I have over 7 years of professional animal welfare and rescue experience. I’m comfortable caring for everything from playful kittens and social cats to seniors, shy cats, and cats with medical or special needs.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety is always my top priority. I carefully follow each cat parent’s instructions and routine, and I’m especially cautious when entering and leaving the home to prevent door escapes. I make sure food, water, litter boxes, medications, and the cat’s environment are checked during every visit. Before leaving, I make sure the cats are safe and accounted for, doors are secured, and the home is left exactly as I found it. My rescue experience has also taught me to notice small changes in behavior, appetite, litter box habits, or appearance that could indicate something isn’t right.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I let the cat set the pace. My years of working with rescue cats have given me a lot of experience with timid, fearful, and anxious cats. I pay close attention to feline body language and never force interaction. I’ll sit quietly, speak softly, offer treats or toys when appropriate, and give them the space they need to feel safe. If a cat wants to hide and observe me from a distance, that’s perfectly okay! Building trust with a nervous cat takes patience, and I’m happy to earn it on their terms.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
