Shasta was so amazing with my elderly cat, Tigger. She administered meds and performed the many tasks associated with caring for an aging cat. Tigger seemed so happy when I got home from a brief trip out of state.

Shasta was fantastic. She got my two shy boys to come out and took amazing pictures. She was responsive and helpful with all of our requests during our trip!

Shasta did a great job taking care of my elderly cat while we were away. She went to our house twice to feed and play with Lucy, and sent timely updates and pictures. Lucy loved playing with Shasta and her daughter. Shasta followed all the instructions I gave and left everything the way she found it. I’ll definitely book her again next time we go away.

Shasta is a great sitter! She's super nice and sweet. She followed my instructions perfectly and my shy cat was able to warm up to her. She also checked in with me everyday with pics to let me know how my cat was doing. Highly recommend her services 10/10!

Before I go on, this review is posted with the information I was given at 12:43 am. If it turns out there was a family emergency or personal event leading to what happened, then I would consider adjusting the review below. Regardless, sending a Meowtel message and then blocking messages led to me seeing the message and then it disappeared and said I could not contact her which indicates that she blocked communication. There was no inappropriate communication on either end. If it was a time issue, then we would've worked with her if needed (even adding a second sitter). We initially had a positive meet-and-greet with Shasta and were confident in her care for our 11 cats. However, at 12:43 AM on the second day of our trip, Shasta messaged via Meowtel to say she was quitting the reservation immediately and notifying Meowtel. While we understand that personal emergencies happen, Shasta immediately blocked us on the Meowtel app after sending the message, which caused her message to disappear from our view. This also meant I could not reply to her. She also did not respond to a follow-up text from me and my husband asking for time. This meant we needed to either get home or find a sitter without having time to schedule a meet and greet. This was a major safety concern as three of our cats require strict daily medical care for conditions including cancer and lymphoma. Being 12 hours away and unable to communicate with our sitter was incredibly distressing. We are grateful to Meowtel Support and our replacement sitter for stepping in, but we cannot recommend Shasta for high-needs or medical sits due to the lack of professional accountability during an emergency.
