Hi, my name is Wyn.
I grew up with cats and have always loved them. I’ve done a lot of work with horses and helped care for barn cats, as well as doing cat-specific pet sitting. I’ve cared for cats from kittens to seniors with special needs, and I have a soft spot for senior animals of all kinds. I have experience giving oral medications, topical medication applied in the ears, eye drops, subcutaneous fluids, testing blood sugar, and giving insulin shots to cats... I currently have my calendar closed off because I have lots of medical appointments. Feel free to message me since I may still have availability to cat sit, I just don’t want to have to decline reservations.

I no longer have a cat of my own, but I have two small parrots at home and a senior horse who is boarded nearby where I do a lot of the care. I do my best to give all of my animals a fabulous life and when I take care of other peoples’ cats I give them the same level of care that I want my animals to have. I’m located in northern Silver Spring, MD and am fortunate to have a fairly flexible schedule working with horses and volunteering my time to help parrots.
I am typically available midday, after morning horse care, and again in the evening, after evening horse care. I do have a commitment some Sunday evenings, some Tuesday evenings, and most Wednesday evenings, so please message me before booking those times. Sometimes I’m also free for short times on days I have blocked off, so always feel free to message me and see if we can work something out.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Silver Spring cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Wyn is the first cat-sitter we’ve ever used, and it was a great experience. In fact, I’ve already booked two future reservations with Wyn. Wyn is a very caring person, and it is obvious they love cats. I received several pictures with detailed updates each time. During our Meet and Greet, Wyn made a couple of very helpful suggestions that we hadn’t thought about, like being sure we left the cat carrier available in case of emergency. Wyn asked good questions to get to know our cat’s particular likes/dislikes/personality. He is not always super friendly to new people, but he liked Wyn right away. It gave me a lot of peace of mind to know our kitty was in Wyn’s very capable and caring hands while we were away. I would highly recommend Wyn!

Wyn has been a wonderful and caring cat sitter again this time. Our kitty isn't friendly to everyone, but he seems to really like Wyn. He had an emergency vet stay fairly recently, so we were nervous about leaving him for a couple of days, but we knew he'd be in good hands. Wyn seemed to really understand our concerns, and took particular care to pay close attention to any return of those symptoms. Wyn was also very flexible with a couple of last minute schedule changes, which was VERY appreciated, and really helped us out. Would definitely recommend Wyn!
