I grew up with cats and have always loved them. I’ve done a lot of work with horses and helped care for barn cats, as well as doing cat-specific pet sitting. I’ve cared for cats from kittens to seniors with special needs, and I have a soft spot for senior animals of all kinds. I have experience giving oral medications, topical medication applied in the ears, eye drops, subcutaneous fluids, testing blood sugar, and giving insulin shots to cats... I’ve cared for cats from kittens to seniors with special needs, and I have a soft spot for senior animals of all kinds. I have experience giving oral medications, topical medication applied in the ears, eye drops, subcutaneous fluids, testing blood sugar, and giving insulin shots to cats.

I no longer have a cat of my own, but I have two small parrots at home and a senior horse who is boarded nearby where I do a lot of the care. I do my best to give all of my animals a fabulous life and when I take care of other peoples’ cats I give them the same level of care that I want my animals to have. I’m located in northern Silver Spring, MD and am fortunate to have a fairly flexible schedule working with horses and volunteering my time to help parrots.

I am typically available midday, after morning horse care, and again in the evening, after evening horse care. I do have a commitment some Sunday evenings, some Tuesday evenings, and most Wednesday evenings, so please message me before booking those times. Sometimes I’m also free for short times on days I have blocked off, so always feel free to message me and see if we can work something out.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Silver Spring cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
