What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been a kennel mgr for 20 years working with cats. I have always cared for cats and other pets but have professionally done so 20 years I work with ferals also with our vet and personally
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I was cat sitting two kitties in March. One was hairless. He was the cutest cat I ever sat, so unique. He had heating pads in his tree seat and medicine and lots of special things but what made him unique was he acted like the dogs, sitting waiting for food and treats and medicine. He was so affectionate. I enjoy meeting different cats and different personalities.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a 3 yr old domestic long hair cat Bobo A 1 yr old orange tabby Cha Cha and his little gray tabby sister LaLa All are altered and strictly indoor cats
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Meet them, make sure they’re a good fit for you. Have them meet your cat(s) and see how your cat(s) feel about them. Always trust your pets opinion. Make sure they have proper knowledge of cats and their behavior Check reviews/references.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Chat with them in advance then arrange a meeting to see if I am a good fit for them and their pet
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I make sure everything is secure I’m careful entering and exiting the home. I double check locks, gates etc I follow all instructions which I ask for in writing
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes of course. That’s when we’re needed the most. I do not travel and have my husband at home with my kitty’s while I sit
What is your favorite cat toy?
The laser light is the best toy to play with, they all love to chase it. Second would be the feathery type toys on a stick
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I take my time, never forcing anything I sit and let them come to me I blink my eyes because you shouldn’t look them in the eye but if you blink the relax

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
