What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have one experience with cat sitting, and it went pretty well even though I was younger. I can play, pet, feed, change litter, just hang out and do each every day with my own animals. I am very new to real cat sitting, but like to follow directions and follow them very well!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have one kitty, his name is Lukas but I just call him cat. He is so orange and insists on sitting directly on your chest when you lay down with his face in yours. He also only wants attention the second you become busy and runs away when you feed him. I've also had the sweetest senior cat named Rio he was so large and would let you let him for hours. I've also ALSO had a girl cat I lovingly named black-in-the-night (no nickname you have to say the full name) she grew up feral and sounded so crunchy and often smelled like death but she was so sweet and really just wanted love and pets.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Let them come to me if they so choose. I try to be very calm and to not stare and put so much attention on the cat but let them observe me. I also try and sit and call every once in a while to see if they're interested in getting to know me. If not I leave them be and go along my business.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
