What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been caring for cats my whole life, over 35 years! I recently started caring for my neighborhood cats while their owners vacationed and even had two special cats who traveled from Thailand!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I am a cat person through and through. I love that cats are independent, curious, at times not caring what you think, also cuddly and soft. They are clean and each have a different personality.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I once got to care for two cats who traveled from Thailand. They were very posh but the sweetest things. They were naturally a bit shy at first but warmed up and eventually got used to the different time zone.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a senior cat named Mo. He’s 17 years old and I give him IV fluid for his kidney failure. I have another senior named Mac. He’s getting up there in years but still has wonderful bursts of playful energy. Baby Frannie is a new kitten I rescued. She’s sweet and playful with the fluffiest tail.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would make sure your values on cat care and safety align. Make sure too that the cat will get along with any other pets in your home.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I will ask questions, get confirmation on how you want care to go, and take notes. I will also make sure I know where you live ahead of time, not the day of.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I will open the door carefully so the cat(s) don’t escape. I will scan the room for any hazards. I’m well aware of poisonous plants that can harm the cat as well.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am available most holidays. Christmas and thanksgiving are the exceptions since I spend time with my own family then.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toy is whatever the cat’s favorite toy is. Sometimes it cat bio filled mice, sometimes it’s feathers on strings.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I sit on the floor quietly and sometimes read so they can see me and see that I’m not scary. I will offer treats and keep a quiet environment.

I can’t recommend Laura enough as a cat sitter! She is always punctual and reliable, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She has such a calm presence that my cats warmed up to her right away and clearly adore her. She communicates wonderfully, sending updates and photos each visit so I always knew how things were going. She’s also very quiet and respectful in the house, which I really appreciate. It’s clear she truly loves and understands cats. I feel lucky to have found her and will absolutely book her again!

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
