You can expect thorough updates and plenty of photos each visit. Photography is a passion of mine, and I’ll make sure to snap a few ‘pro’ photos.
For the rare times I’m not home with my cat, I am likely out with my husband visiting plant nurseries, bookstores, cheese markets, or buying more yarn to crochet cat toys (would your cat like a new toy?).
In addition to keeping kitty happy, I can assist with home tasks upon request while you’re away, such as collecting the mail, watering plants, or setting out the trash.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a senior kitten named Ava Dale. She’s an American shorthair rescue from the Upper Peninsula, and I suspect she may have Turkish Van ancestry. Her super power is using heterochromia to get free fries at the drive-thru when we travel, and waking up just in time to see the Mackinac Bridge. I foster kittens from the local shelter, although that’s currently on pause due to Ava’s anxiety.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
For the first reservation, I require a meet and greet with you and your cat. This way your cat isn’t meeting me for the first time when it’s already under the stress of your absence. You can walk me through kitty’s routine and show me where the supplies are. I’ll take detailed notes of all tasks to be completed and key signs of your cat’s mood.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I am extra careful when entering and exiting a home with animals. I take care to check all doors, windows, and even electrical outlets during each visit and before leaving. I will not leave without knowing exactly where your kitty is at and that they are safe and have access to everything they need.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am frequently available during the holidays and would be happy to spend that time with your kitty. We’ll even do some celebrating in a maner suited to your cat’s purrsonality!
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite toy is catnip spray applied to other toys. This makes any toy instantly exciting!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
What draws me in about cats is just how good they are at setting boundaries and unapologetically being themselves. If your cat is known to be timid or anxious, or if I notice they are during my visits, I will make sure that my visits are conducted at their pace. Getting down on their level or lower and keeping my own movements slow and steady, and allowing your cat to stick to their comfort level are the crucial steps I take. In the case of shy or anxious cats who need critical medications, I am experienced with providing a firm yet gentle touch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
