I have two sweet cats who both have IBS meaning daily pills, liquid medications, special diets, and powdered medication so I am well acquainted with the importance of administering medicines accurately and as comfortably as possible for cats!
I know each cat is its own special being and I meet each cat I care for on their level, with lots of pets and playing for the outgoing cats and quiet and calm for the shy ones.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting for over 20 years. I’ve cared for shy cats who have to be coaxed out to play and outgoing kitties who meet me at the door. I love getting to visit with cats and give them love and care while their families are out of town.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats: Barnaby, a fluffy black elderly gentleman who still likes to play like a kitten. Maud, a sweet grey lady who hates being held but likes to sit right next to me to get pets!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I am extremely careful with my own cats’ safety and security and it’s second nature to extend that to the cats I’m sitting. I am extremely aware that all entrances are secured so that everybody stays inside. Because I know every cat has unique needs, I always folllw the owners instructions to the letter so that the cats get exactly the care they need. Because my cats both have digestive issues, I have a good eye for making sure there are no tempting, dangerous items around that can be nibbled on.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, my family all live near by and I am usually available for visits on and around the holidays. I work an academic job meaning my work schedule is very light around the holidays which increases my availability. I have some holidays blocked off, but that doesn’t mean I’m necessarily unavailable the whole day. Feel free to message me for details.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Grand Rapids cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
