My name is Annaliese and I feel so honored to be considered to watch over your fur babies! I am 25 and have my Master of Social Work degree. I work full time in higher education as a college therapist. However, during my off time I love to be at home with my cat and give him all the love and care he deserves. My cat is six years old, and I adopted him from the Ann Arbor humane society in May 2020. I have my own car and feel comfortable serving Washt... I am currently available to work Monday and Tuesday after 5:30pm, and all day Saturday and Sunday. I can work after 5:30pm Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday based on special request. What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting with Meowtel since January 2023 and have had over 30 successful bookings and multiple return clients!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love playing and cuddling with the kitties and making sure they have their needs met while their parents are gone.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Have multiple meet and greets and read reviews! Go with the cat sitter that you (and your kitty) feel most comfortable with.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I will meet with them for a free 30 minute meet and greet during a time that works best for them, and answer any questions they might have as well as meet their fur baby. I will then give them my phone number so that I can share frequent updates and pictures with them while they are away.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, most holidays except for Christmas and Christmas eve are available.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I like to start by offering treats and letting them come join me on their own time. I find if you try and force a cat to interact, it can sometimes cause them to become more anxious and upset.

Annaliese was amazing! We needed a last minute cat sitter and she was perfect. We’ve never used a pet sitting service, just nervous about strangers coming into our house, but I’m so glad we went with Annaliese. She went above and beyond and made us feel comfortable. I left a note to not worry about cleaning up scattered liter on the floor, and she still swept it up! She sent updates after she cleaned the liter, after she fed them, when she was playing with them, and when she left. We got lots of photos of them getting treats and playing, which meant the world to us as our cats are our children and we were missing them like crazy! We will definitely hire Annaliese again and recommend her to our friends who are looking for cat sitters.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
