What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have taken care of my friend's and sister's kitties for over 20 years when they go on vacations. I have cleaned litterboxes, fed and played with their kitties.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I absolutely adore kitties. Their purring, rubbing against me and sweet noises they make. They bring joy to my day.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I would love to do drop ins, hour stays and overnights any day of the week. I am very flexible for people's vacations or whatever the needs are for their kitties. I have a flat fee for overnights.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes I have 2 precious kitties. I have a Tortiseshell kitty named Cinnamon and a black kitty named Joy. In my past I've had 3 kitties named Oliver, Emma and Snookie
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would tell them that the sitter should show a genuine love for kitties. They should greet their kitty slowly and with a soft tone of voice. They should not come at their kitty rough and forceful.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I would introduce myself and tell them my experience with kitties and what care I have done for them. I would greet their kitty or kitties with a soft tone of voice and not push myself on them.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I would do the things the cat parent wants me to do for their kitty. I would make sure I knew where the kitty was before I left. I also will make sure doors and windows were closed.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes I am available during those times because I don't usually go out of town on the holidays. We usually stay home.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My kitties love those scratching poles, toys that move, small balls with a bell in them and a pole with a cute light object hanging from the end of the pole.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I would talk softly and let them come to me on their own terms. I would not push myself on a timid or anxious kitty.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
