I'm available for once-a-day visits in the Duluth area when specified by my availability calendar. I'm happy to feed, water, brush, and play with your cat(s), clean litter boxes, take out the trash, or take in mail/packages if needed. Photos, videos, and updates will be provided with each visit so you can feel connected with your kitties while you're away.
I have two cats of my own - a 6 year old named Osiris and a 2 year old old named Bastet, both adopted. They’re both black kitties and have become best friends... Hi there! I'm Amanda.

I grew up in Minnesota with three different cats over the years. Whenever I would cry as a kid, my sweet childhood cat would come running to cuddle with me. I love all animals, but there’s something special about cats and they hold an important place in my heart - each one is so unique!
I currently work full time in insurance, so during the weekdays I’m available from 5pm onwards with more flexibility on weekends.
When I’m not working, I love exploring the area’s hikes, taking yoga classes or spending time with my family and friends. Any other questions? Feel free to ask!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Make sure your sitter is verified, background checked and communicative. Good reviews are also important, as is the Meet and Greet to be sure the arrangement is a good fit for all involved parties.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes; I usually stay in town during holidays. Please check my schedule or send me a message anytime to inquire about availability.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I never take it personally when a cat is scared or anxious, and instead focus on making sure their basic needs are met (food, water, litter box). Giving them space allows them to come to me if and when they’re ready!

We just moved to town and I was so nervous to leave our two cats behind for the first time in our new place, but Amanda eased every worry! She did a detailed intro visit, taking notes on their routines and was so reassuring and kind. Then, when we were away, she sent very detailed updates with photos and videos. I feel so lucky to have found her for my cats and feel much better about planning trips! I couldn’t recommend Amanda’s services enough!

Amanda was truly wonderful. I was apprehensive because my cats had a hard time the last time I was away, and it meant a lot to me that Amanda both took those concerns seriously and took active steps to help my cats with this trip away. She brought a scarf to help my cats get used to her scent, which worked wonders. She visited during a consistent time of the day to help create a routine (which was also appreciated on my end). After every visit, she sent detailed updates and adorable photos/videos. And most importantly, she was absolutely wonderful with my cats. My shyest kitty took to her immediately, and I was floored and so happy to see him coming up to her for head scratches and attention. My second cat always gets grumpy when I'm away for long enough, and Amanda struck the perfect balance between giving her space and strategizing with me to make sure she was happy and safe. They both really loved their time with her. And coming home to two happy cats was an incredible end to my trip.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Duluth cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
