Anytime I see a cat I have to go pet it and learn about its unique personality. My friends call me the cat whisperer because if there's a cat at the party I will be in the corner petting it. I have had several cats throughout my life and currently have a 1.5 year old kitten named Scout. She is the light of my life and I hope to be getting her a sibling kitten in the next few years. My childhood cat lived to be 19 years old, so I do have experience with older cats as well... Hello there! My name is Lucy and I am a crazy cat lady. Since my first childhood kitten I have been enchanted by their beauty and stern grace contrasted with their quirky habits and playtime rituals.

Another fun fact about me is that one of my sisters is a vet tech and my other sister owns 10 cats, so crazy cat ladies run in our family. With this I know every cat is very different in their personality habits, likes and dislikes. And I will be sure to do my best to make your cats feel safe and content.
I am recent graduate from the University of Minnesota! When I’m not cat sitting I work as a freelance graphic designer and barista. By booking me you will be helping me to pay my student loans! I love that I can use my free time to make sure your kitties feel safe and happy while you are away.
I am very flexible with location, I live in Saint Anthony but I'm always driving around the metro area so any adjacent suburbs to the twin cities is viable for me. If the app says I don’t service your zone send me a message and I can update it! Morning and evenings are usually best but I can often accommodate other needs, just let me know!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to know cat's unique personalities and preferences. I also understand the stress of a cat owner when you are away from them and I'm happy to be able to relieve some of that stress for other cat parents.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have had three cats throughout my life but I currently have a 1.5 year old kitten named Scout! I adore her and spoil her far too much.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is the laser pointer. My cats have always been very engaged with them. I always make sure to give my cats a treat after play time so the cat feels as though they have been successful!

Lucy came to meet our cat twice, as he has been having aggression issues. She was so patient and good at giving him space and he eventually warmed up to her! It was awesome knowing all the care she was taking and noticing the little details. Her updates were amazing and it made us feel so good seeing their good interactions increase during our long trip!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Minneapolis cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Lucy was wonderful in every way! I was a bit apprehensive about having a sitter come into my home, never having used a service before and having a very shy senior kitty. But, Lucy’s professionalism’s, understanding and flexibility with me, especially with the issue we had with my apt. key & entering my bldg., put my mind at ease. She also took wonderful care of my shy little Lilly….attending to everything I asked her to do and sent pictures of Lilly every day. Lucy even got down on the floor to pet Lilly, who stayed under my bed most days, when she was there. A couple times, she graced Lucy with her presence, but proceeded to eat immediately upon receiving her food! lol I highly recommend Lucy and definitely will use her again in the future! 😻
