What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy getting to spend time with animals that are (hopefully) not feral, unlike the wild animals I help at the Wildlife Hospital. I also love giving peace of mind to pet parents when they have to travel. Knowing my pet is in good hands when I'm gone gives me such peace of mind!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have four cats myself who are all rescues. The oldest is a 16 year old calico named Marley. Blaze is a medium-haired orange menace we got my daughter for her 9th birthday. He rules the house! Moon and Mittens are both timid ladies who are around three years old. You would think they would get along but they regularly throw paws.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am unfortunately not available for overnight stays as I have two children (Alise and Thomas) who are my priority above all else. I am available for most holidays given enough notice.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I like laser pointers myself. My cats usually prefer the boxes the toys come in. Typical cat behavior, I guess!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I like to respect a cat's boundaries by giving them the time and space to come to me whenever possible. Typically I will sit on the floor and pointedly NOT make eye contact with said cat until they approach. I then let them smell my hand and give ear scratches if allowed. Moving slowly and cautiously helps. Hopefully, we can build a relationship from there.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
