What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love cat sitting! I love seeing all the different cats and all the different personalities! I also love seeing how their personalities come out as you are taking care of them. A pet parent describing their cat is the best! Some kitties are super friendly interactive right away (total people kitties). Some kitties are shy and reserved (like to keep to themselves). And I love them all! I find even the shy and reserved kitties come out of their shell for me and will be super friendly and lovie. And their pet parents are just so astounded and happy when I tell them that their shy kitty is interacting so well when they are away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have three cats. Sora is my oldest. After I graduated college and started working at the Humane Society his littermates and mom came to us. I’ve had him since he was a baby. Denji and Sosu are my youngest. They are littermates and my black and orange cat duo. Denji is my little shadow and is the cuddliest little boy you will ever meet. Sosu is my observant boy. He likes to watch what’s going on and once he sees his brother interacting he’ll join in.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
As a pet parent myself (and after working in the animal field) I’m always thinking about safety for my own animals. So I always bring that with me when I watch other pets. I would want anyone that is taking care of my pets to be vigilant and mindful. As well as I take care of my own pets I know that it’s a big deal for someone to trust another person to take care of their babies while they are gone. I would want that person to take care of my pets like they would their own if not better. While I’m watching your pets I always follow guidelines you have set up. I always double and triple check that doors are closed and locked (whether home or leaving). I’m careful when entering/exiting doors as to not have any accidental escapes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
