I am a resident physician at the Mayo Clinic and find cats to be an incredible escape from my busy life. They take me to a more blissful place where I can leave behind stresses from the hospital... Cats are wondrous creatures. A lot of people who haven’t spent time with cats think we need to teach cats things (and we definitely do), but I think what they miss that cats teach us a lot too. For example, my cat and the cats I’ve spent time with taught me that I should unapologetically ask for my needs and take up space. They showed me a healthy balance between enjoying time with others and taking time to be alone. They taught me that no one is too old to be a bit silly.

I have cat sat several times for cats of many different ages and medical needs. I would be honored to care for and play with your cats in the Rochester area.
As a cat-sitter, I am very comfortable with feeding your kitties, changing their litter, playing with them, and applying topical ointments. I send many photo/video and text updates and will remain in communication with you after every visit so you feel comfortable knowing your cats are in good hands!
I strive to be as mindful as possible when it comes to preserving your home and respecting your expectations (ie keeping only mentioned lights on so as to preserve your electricity, asking whether you want shoes off, watering plants, etc).

She followed all of our instructions diligently and sent us detailed reports on how the visits went (with pictures and videos!). This was the first time I tried Meowtel.com. I picked a sitter who seemed to fit our family values and Sweta was more than I expected. She responded to my inquiry within just a few minutes and answered all of my questions then asked about our cats and seemed to really want to know about them. She came each day we agreed to and sent the cutest pictures and videos with each visit. The cats warmed up to her very quickly and they were happy campers when we returned. Will definitely use the service again and request Sweta.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Rochester cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
