I've had family cats since I was 2, and owned my own cats since 2019. I've raised and taken care of cats of all ages, ranging from 10 weeks old to 21+.

I work part time with a fairly set schedule. I can work around feeding and medication schedules, and will take the time to make sure your cats are well loved while you're gone.

I will spend time with the animals doing whatever they love doing! Playing, chilling, eating, it really doesn’t matter. I love doing whatever the animals find fun and entertaining.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting now for 3 years. I’ve visited cats of all needs and temperaments, and loved them all so much. Before cat sitting, I raised cats and cared for hundreds of kitties as a volunteer at an animal shelter.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I truly love when they start to get comfortable with me and you can see the trust start to build. I love seeing them open up and show their personalities bit by bit, and I get to bond with each one!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have three cats with my partner! We have Finn, Jack, and Gus. Finn and Jack are litter mates, and very orange. Gus is a short-tailed tiny tiger who loves to play!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

With anxious cats, I’ll sit in the room with them at a distance they seem comfortable with. I talk to them in a calm low voice and let them know that I’m just there to love them. I let them approach me instead of pushing it, and let them go at their own pace.

Alex was excellent! I went to visit friends in Maine (from Minnesota) and having someone vetted who was also a cat parent helped put my mind at ease while we were gone for the week. Alex came daily to check on our girls, Siggy and Gyda. Both cats are very shy but Alex made sure to get pictures of both of them, send me updates and spend time with them. I wholeheartedly recommend Alex and have no reservations about having them come again to watch my girls!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
