I would also like to gloat that my boyfriend’s Manx, Lily officially loves and trusts me (this is a rarity for her). I love to get to know each cat’s personalities and respect them at their comfort limits. ... Hi! I’m Nicole Oberg and I have been a proud cat parent since I was three years old. I currently have a seven year old fluff named Sterling & we have had an adorable black Tabby, Henry as our roommate. Henry’s mom is my best friend and in the Navy, so he has been with us for three years!
I would also like to gloat that my boyfriend’s Manx, Lily officially loves and trusts me (this is a rarity for her). I love to get to know each cat’s personalities and respect them at their comfort limits. I am fairly good with human’s too. I would love to have the opportunity to take care of your pets as if they were my own while you’re away and cater to any special needs that you as parents or the kitties may have.
*While I am comfortable administering medication to kitties, I would like to get to know their personality first. I would very much dislike for a skittish cat to hide from me and not be able to get their scheduled medication due to a large piece of furniture standing between us.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Taking care of kitties has truly been a passion of mine since elementary school when I momentarily created a pet sitting 'company' and for some reason, a lot of neighbors allowed me - as a child- to pet sit! I have been lucky to do overnight stays during Winter Holidays for a few different families as well as shorter visits where I got to keep kitties company and maximize spoiling the babies for brief periods of time. I am currently in the longest cat sitting job I’ve ever had! My childhood best friend is in the Navy and had to move to Japan for three years. I have been entrusted with my bestie’s baby for the past three years! She loves when I send her pictures of Henry and when he video calls her.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a very sweet boy cat named Sterling Mallory Miffens (Joseph when he’s in trouble). Henry, my “couch kitty” lives with me as well. His mom has been away for three years and asked me to take him in. I love him and I cannot wait for Henry and his mom to be reunited! I spend a lot of time with a little girl, Lily. She’s a Manx and is very food motivated!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
When you are looking to hire a cat sitter I believe you should be very picky and find the person who will best fit your kitty’s personality. They come first, so a good rapport between kitty and sitter is important! Also, if your baby is extremely affectionate I suggest booking overnights so that your cats has someone to snuggle; for a skittish kitty an overnight or longer duration visits allows me to bond with the cat on their terms in their time.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am typically available during holidays! I would love to celebrate the holidays with your kitties!
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love a wand toy with a retractable string. My cat, Sterling goes crazy for the feathers at the end of it and will chase me and the “bird” around until he has caught to his heart’s content. This is also my favorite toy for safety reasons. Sterling is notorious for attempting to eat string… the retractable string ensures that when he and I aren’t playing together, he can not accidentally eat the string.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I am a naturally soft-spoken person so that helps to not intensify timid and anxious cats. Hanging out with me is completely on their terms. I like to know from the cat parents if their baby is food motivated or toy motivated so I can offer the cats what they enjoy in their comfort space.

Nicole did an absolutely amazing job with our three cats during a two week vacation we took. One of our senior cats, Ares, is special needs and requires several oral medications twice a day. Nicole administered all medications flawlessly, and she was very intentional in creating a close bond with Ares as well. She treated all three of our babies with great care, and sent plenty of updates and pictures while we were away. She's very clearly cares about animals, and her dedication to their safety and well-being showed throughout the entire process. We highly recommend Nicole!

Nicole watched our girls for a week while we visited my husbands family for the holidays and with this being my first time away from them for more than one night, I was very anxious and sad to not be with them. However, they warmed up to Nicole very quickly and really enjoyed being around her which put me more at ease. She also always sent updates after the visits to keep me updated and always included pictures + videos which I appreciated more than she knows! Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Ballwin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Nicole is hands down the best care giver we have ever had for our Jameson (our cat). He is a lover but very shy with new people. We recently moved crossed country and this was our first time using Nicole (used Meowtel in our previous home). Everything went smoothly and the cats all seem to love her (even the most reluctant of our six cats). She was great at communicating and we love the pictures and videos.
