What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have watched cats for several years , and try to make everyone happy. The longest I've watched a cat was 3 months. We are still good friends!!!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What cracks me up about cats is their ability to act very picky, until you leave the room, then they will revisit what you gave them and eat it while you're busy doing something else. They treat us like maids.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I've even catsat in other country's and somehow there is no language barrier to "time to eat". We all got along fine.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two cats. Oliver who was given,to me as a gift fro my Grandaughter. He is black and white (long hair). And Sadie Jane, she is a multi-colored cat. Both my cats are very independent (until I leave) then you would think I have deserted them and don't care. I love them very much .

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Communication is the key....tell me, what they need, little things to make them feel comfortable and let me meet them before you go!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I ask questions as to health, special needs of each animal, and habits. I need to know what you as a furry baby mom or dad need me to do to help them be happy. Again communication is the key.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

You show me where they can't go! I will take care of your home as I would my own.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I'm retired, and the love your babies give to me will fill my days

What is your favorite cat toy?

I have bought so many cat toys, but cats are so fickle it's a guessing game. But I find a simple "rattle bag" is the best. It is cheap, easy, and they love the rattle.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give them time, never force them to share time with me, just sit on the floor and call their name hoping each day we get better ., my Oliver is one such cat. He will sit at one end of the hallway and just let the sitter know he's alive and we'll. I will send you pictures of them periodically to let you see they are fine.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
