Although I am a new cat sitter, throughout my life I have been giving cat care to multiple cats and ... For as long as I can remember, I've been obsessed with cats! When I was a kid, I wanted to be a vet, but when I realized I would have to see cats in pain, I quickly abandoned that dream. But with Meowtel, I am able to spend my time with cats as a career!
Although I am a new cat sitter, throughout my life I have been giving cat care to multiple cats and newborn kittens at once. At some point I even had seven cats! I am very well versed in how cats operate, how they socialize, and how to get them to open up. I am usually very good with them when I spend my time with a cat, and have had no issues, even with "problem kitties."

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Outside of watching over my friends cats, or caring for a cat while I babysit kids, I do not have much experience professionally cat sitting. But I believe my extensive experience with cats and my knowledge on how to care for them puts me in a great spot to start!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have three cats at home! Their names are Gus, Jupiter and Lady! I named my cat, Jupiter, because her fur reminds me of the planet!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Usually it's not a good idea to try and force a cat out of its comfort zone, especially if you're a stranger. I like to let cats know where I am audibly, through clicks and chatter, so they're not surprised by my presence. If you leave a cat to approach you on their own, they will typically get curious anyway. Especially if you let it know that you're there to take care of it. (And maybe even provide treats.)

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
