Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Alice, Big Al. A rescue colony cat who was being beat up by the other males in his colony. He is now a happy indoor cat. Tiger Lily, Lily. She was fostered then I couldn’t let her go. The cat distribution system was definitely in effect.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, with the possible exception of Christmas, dependent upon location. My schedule is often flexible both during and outside of holidays.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Most cats are appropriately cautious of new people, especially if their person is not around. I don’t necessarily seek cats out unless I am concerned about them but rather wait for them to come to me, often at their level and allow them to smell me or my hands first. Gentle, quiet talking as well.

Leah was awesome! On top of food, water, and litter, she went out of her way to make sure our cat was well-loved. The photos and videos were thoughtful and gave us peace of mind that our anxious cat was doing well. This was my first time using Meowtel and Leah made it so easy! We had to leave our old, curmudgeonly kind of neurotic most sweet boy ever cat for 20 days. We were concerned. Leah was wonderful. She is always responsive and timely and just great communication, even when we were time zones away. Our guy gets some getting used to and has behavioral tics from a hard life before we adopted him. Leah respected that and rolled with it. And our guy came around to depend on and adore her. Leah is sensitive and empathetic and reliable. We, and our cat, look forward to using her amazing services in the future.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
