How I conduct my visits often depends on the cat(s) for whom I'm caring. I'm just as happy participating in active play with a cat who likes to move as I am curled up with a certified lap cat. I like to bring a hobby, such as a book or knitting project, that never fails to get a cat interested.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to establish a relationship, no matter how short, with new cats. I find the quirks each personality has to be so fun to learn and experience. Of course, giving fellow cat parents peace of mind that their babies are taken care of is an added bonus.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I have been an ongoing, dedicated sitter for two sisters who I fostered as kittens back in 2023. It's been so fun continuing to get to see them and watch them blossom into beautiful adult cats over the years!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I tend to stay in the area during most holidays and am happy to help care for your kitties while you're away!

Jess went above and beyond for my kitties’ needs. I had an extended work trip and one of my cats required daily pills and she was able to assist no problem! She also tackled issues with my apartment elevator being out and never once made me feel like me or my cats were a burden. I HIGHLY recommend. 🥰 I felt at ease that my cats were in good hands.

My experience with jess has become a really good way to spoil my cats!! I started out looking for a pet sitter and Happened to stumble across meowtel, after looking over quite a few pet sitters, I landed on Jess and im glad I did!! I was extremely nervous at first because I had never used a pet service before and. We don't really have a lot of company, so my cats aren't really around people. And they tend to hide when people do come around. Thinking this was gonna be a stressful experience for my cats. I wanted to go with someone that displayed good energy right off the bat. I even made a fully detailed binder.lol when jess showed up to meet my cats i got the usual response they hid under the bed for a few minutes, but then slowly started to make their way out into the living room.I saw that as a good sign and went on my trip. By day two jess was sending me pictures of BOTH cats sitting with her as if they had known her for their entire lives. At that point i knew I could enjoy my vacation and not worry about a thing. Now I have jess come by the house.When she is available for her 60 min visits just to spend time with my cats while I am at work. Me and my babies love jess and love this service!!

Jess was awesome!!!!! My cats are usually shy for a couple days with new people. They opened up to her on day 2 which is way faster than I expected!! She gave them plenty of attention, kept me updated and made me feel really comfortable that my cats were in good hands when I was away. Definitely choosing jess again!!!

I knew when Jess came over for our meet and greet that my two kitties were going to be in great hands! You can tell she has a deep love and understanding of cats and inherently knows how to approach their different personality types. I felt so much relief knowing that for the week I was away, they were getting plenty of care and attention. She sent great pictures and updates at each visit! Will definitely book with her again next time I have to go out of town.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Charlotte cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
