I am a former vet tech turned scientist who has returned to the petcare world. I have had cats and other pets my entire life and am comfortable with medically fragile cats. I focus on understanding situations from their point of view as individuals and meeting needs to express natural behaviours by providing environmental enrichment and varying play styles. I currently have 4 cats of my own. My last kitty to pass lived to 18.5 years old, I got her when I was volunteering at a clinic while in highschool and we carried eachother through so many big moments.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love getting to know each baby and seeing their personalities bloom. Every cat is different, just like people, and learning their tastes and what might excite or comfort them is enriching to my own heart.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 4 kitties right now. Maki - A sleek serious hunter and master of the cat wall with a demanding demeanor who turns into a snuggle bug the instant it's bed time. Penny - Cautious but curious. She is OBSESSED with lizards and taught herself how to play fetch. She also taught us how to answer her beckoning screams to throw her lizard toys. Violet - Penny's sister, very thick coated and loves to be brushed. She is adorable but has maybe 2 braincells on a good day. Her WIDE eyed stare lets us know she needs something, that something is usually fresh arugula. Biohazard (BH) - An elderly starving stray with hyperthyroidism and an upper respiratory infection. He was panting in 95F heat asking for help. He vomited and ... other things... in my car, walked through it, then all over me and the seats. My fiance named him and it stuck.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I try to prioritize my availability to when pet owners would need me most. I don't do surge pricing for high demand time, always the same rates.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I start with a home visit while the owners are present. I try to show us interacting in a gentle calm way and gather information about their personality and preferences. I will introduce myself by letting the kitty smell me. Sometimes I can offer my hand but often I have to offer something I have worn then leave them alone with it so they can investigate me with less pressure. I try to get down to floor level so they dont have a giant human leaning over them and I talk softly. After the I still introduction I will give them some space to see the interaction was safe and they arent being restricted or cornered. After a few minutes I will offer them a high value treat then walk away again. If they ate the treat and I can see thei look curious or expectant I will continue.

Kitty was absolutely wonderful, and I can’t recommend her highly enough! We recently lost our beloved cat Jennifer after 18 years, and around the same time, a little stray kitten unexpectedly came into our lives. We decided to keep her, but she is still a little feral and learning to trust people, so leaving her in someone else’s care was especially difficult for us. Kitty was amazing with her. She was patient, gentle, and somehow managed to win her over—which is no small accomplishment! It gave us such peace of mind knowing that our little girl was comfortable and being so well cared for while we were away. Kitty also sent us pictures and updates every day, which we absolutely loved and looked forward to. Being able to see that our kitten was happy and doing well made such a difference. It is obvious that Kitty genuinely loves and understands cats. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They took the time to understand each cat’s personality—one’s a social butterfly, the other a bit shy—and managed to make both of them feel comfortable and well‑loved. We received thoughtful updates and great photos every day, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. The cats’ feeding routines, playtime, and even their quirky habits were all handled perfectly. We came home to two relaxed, happy cats and a spotless space. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Charlotte cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Kitty is an amazing cat sitter!! She’s taken care of my cat Oliver for two different vacations that I’ve gone on this year and I’m so grateful to have found her.
