What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

Not owning having owned multiple cats throughout my own life, but I’ve watched my friends and families for over 15 years.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Cat sitting offers a unique blend of quiet companionship and playful entertainment. Stepping into their space brings the immediate reward of earning their trust, transforming from a stranger into a trusted confidant greeted by welcoming purrs and soft headbutts. Whether you are spending a peaceful afternoon curled up with a sleepy lap cat or watching a curious kitten pounce on a feathery toy, these moments provide a soothing escape from daily stress. It is a deeply rewarding experience that offers all the warmth and affection of pet ownership, coupled with the joy of making a furry friend feel safe and loved while their family is away

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

There was one owner 15 years ago that had 4 cats of various personalities, and one cat. A rescued male Siamese known for being aloof, and cranky, decided I was finally good enough to pet him. We sat on the couch for over an hour just enjoying the new found trust.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Not currently, our oldest cat just died a year ago at 22, and I haven’t been able to add another one in just yet.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Are they warm to you and your animals? Do they have a real interest in how you and your family do things for your pet.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Meet and greets to learn how you like things done, meet your kitty and get to know them. File all necessary emergency contacts and health requirements. Make sure I understand your expectations.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Security, make sure your changing lights on and off in different rooms, windows, doors, garages closed and locked. Make sure cats are visible and healthy at visits and that there’s no spilled anything on the counters, floors etc.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I’m happy to provide others with the ability to travel for holidays and extended periods to enjoy themselves. Family is as important as rest and relaxation.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I personally love flirt poles with feathers on them for kitties. It lets them practice their hunting skills as well and entertain them and me.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Calm and quiet. Predictable behavior for them to make sure they know what you’re going to do. Hopefully find a particularly favorite treat for them so they know even though it’s scary, good things come from me.
