I'm very familiar with cats too! I grew up with three lovely American Shorthairs who have since passed on and now I'm a girl in her adult life with her soul cat. Finch, the sunshine of my life, is an orange tabby found in the wild and he's my adventure boy... My name is Amber and I love And adore cats. I was previously on Rover taking care of dogs and cats, but I want to move to solely caring for cats. I'm happy to do overnights or just a quick drop in to change water, feed, and change the litter box.

He's leash trained!
I like to take a patient approach to all animals and let them come to me. Cats will teach any person boundaries and those are boundaries that I agree to! I'm familiar with giving medication to cats and restraining due to previous vet tech education during my time in the FFA.
I prefer meet and greets ahead of time to ensure proper care and familiarizing myself with your furry friend and their routine.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've been cat and dog sitting since 2018 and I've had cats in my home since 2012. I definitely have experience with cats and absolutely love and adore them! I've done drop ins to give food and various oral medications (pills and syringes full of steroid medication).
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Learn the routine you do with your cat. Yes, it is their home and is more comfortable for them but cats are very routine creatures. If you keep track of food and play times, it makes it an easier transition for the cat and the sitter.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
With timid or anxious cats, it's all about patience. Don't try to force them to play or to eat, but give them a safe space that they can go in. I'm typically quiet and fairly still, I find my spot and that's where you can find me. I do make sure I have eyes on all cats before leaving to ensure their safety.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
