-... I’ve been caring for cats for almost 13 years. Lots of people assume that cats are just “easier,” “more independent” dogs. In reality, cats are their own animal with their own communication methods, play styles, behavioral habits, diet requirements, and health sensitivities. Not only that, but each cat is unique! It is extremely important to me to spend the time and patience necessary to really get to know each new cat I befriend. This ensures that I’m able to make them as comfortable as possible and provide them with personalized care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME:
- Thorough recaps of my time with your cat. I’ll tell you everything.
- Lots of pictures! I try my best to take ones that are lockscreen-worthy.
- My undivided attention. They run the show.
- Clean hands. I wash/sanitize my hands to minimize spreading anything from one kitty to another.
- Locked doors. I always double-check!
- I leave no trace. I aim to leave your space the same as, or better than, you left it. (This includes vacuuming/sweeping litter if supplies are provided, cleaning bowls and utensils, keeping trash contained, toys back where they belong, etc.)
**I do not offer dog care.**
Let me know if you think your kitty may take some time to warm up to me so I can take care to respect their boundaries. Also don’t hesitate to tell me if they have any silly routines or rituals they like to carry out! I’m very happy to indulge them.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats who are my whole world. My oldest is Charlie, who is 12 years old and the biggest, sweetest baby you’ll ever meet and considers me his personal forehead-kiss dealer. My other cat is Clementine who is 3, and is the diva to end all divas. She wants what she wants when she wants it, even if it’s just some snuggles. I adore them both.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Absolutely! I do not travel for holidays and therefore am able to be there for your kitty when you do.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Cats’ boundaries are often misunderstood. Unlike dogs, it can sometimes take much longer for cats to trust unfamiliar humans, and they require a higher level of patience. To me, I find it best to just let the cat lead — there is no reason to pressure or force a cat into any interaction, and sometimes all that’s needed to make a cat trust you is to just be a calm, unassuming presence.

It was obvious the moment I returned from my trip that my 13-year-old cat, Riley, had been cared for beautifully. He was so happy to see me, and I could immediately tell that all of my instructions had been followed, from his feeding and treats to his toys and litter box. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Wake Forest cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
