I use this all the time when I'm working with animals (such as my previously very temperamental cat, who is now the most lovable guy you'll ever meet).
If you have a spicy cat, no worries. I handle all types of temperaments and won't shy away from your kitty. In those instances, I just give them some space and try to win them over slowly.

I cat sit for friends often. I'm their go-to since I'm an experienced foster. Some of them are medicated, and I am experienced in that area.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 3 of my own! Zumba, Pepper, and Biscuit ❤️ theyre my world and I dont know what I would do without them
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find someone who genuinely loves animals, and is willing to dedicate the time your pets deserve. I'm happy to do that!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I work with clients for my design job! It's a similar (albeit more corporate) process. I'd recommend starting with a call or meet and greet. We'll discuss any expectations or special needs, and anything else you can think of! You're also welcome to ask any questions.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
DOORS. Always, always be vigilant around doors. I will never let a cat get by, and always enter with my leg blocking the exit.
Are you usually available during holidays?
More than likely! Just ask. I'm rarely busy for full days, and can typically accommodate up to 4 sittings on a given day
What is your favorite cat toy?
My foster once threw a catnip toy directly at the nanny cam, while I was watching from my bedroom. Every time I look at it, I think of her. She was one of my favorites and is thriving in her new home.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Slow movements, patience, and talking nicely to them. If treats are allowed, that's a huge motivator. I move at their pace.

Liz was nice, but did leave a bit to be desired when it came to her visits. The first day she didn't come until around 10pm which is listed as the absolute latest visit time. Overall her check-ins were okay, but given there were storms the whole weekend I would have expected a bit more info. Upon returning home I noticed their water hadn't been filled at all and there were a few accidents around the kitchen that looked older than a day- another thing I would have preferred at least knowing about. I have automatic feeders and boxes and ask generally little, but it felt like my cats were an afterthought a bit and I won't be booking with her again. (Also took nearly a week to return keys.)

Something must have happened with your babies after I left; maybe the water spilled, or they drank extra and vomited. I never miss stuff like this so I know something else was at play. Additionally, you never asked for storm updates and said the key being returned in a week was perfectly fine. I'm sorry you weren't happy with the outcome but I wish you would have spoken to me before leaving this review.

I have booked a few times and went out of town only for about 36 hrs this last time, and just wanted someone to feed and check on my little gremlin babies. she has great attention to detail (noticed a skin issue on one of my kitties I’m now monitoring), asked for clarification regarding feeding, sent great pictures and updates and everyone seems to have loved her, even my shy, anxious boy cat. Highly recommended and will book again whenever I need a cat sitter!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Marlton cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Liz was shared pictures and updates for my cats every day and got 3/4 of them to play and engage even though only one is a people cat. Liz was great with our kitties especially with our one cat who has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. this was the first time we have left her since she needed insulin twice a day and Liz did a great job with keeping us updated on how the injections went and the status of our other two kitties! Liz was great with our cat! He had a lot of medications to manage and she did everything perfectly, AND was sweet to him as well. We especially loved receiving updates with photos and videos. It put our mind at ease while we were away. She also went above and beyond and took out some trash, kept things clean, etc. She was a great communicator as well. Would definitely recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her again!
