My name is May, a fellow cat parent and cat enthusiast. I understand firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your fur baby in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly.
I approach each cat with patience, respect, and calm energy. Whether your cat is playful, shy, or independent, I meet them where they are and let them guide our interactions. I will stick to your cat’s routine! So meals will always be on time, fresh water available, play sessions, and brushing if they’re into it 😹. I keep litter clean and can handle certain meds if needed.
For every visit, updates will always be provided. Outside of cat sitting, I love to paint!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I will make sure we’re on the same page about your cat’s routine, habits, and any house rules before each visit. Clear communication helps me understand where your cat can go, what they’re allowed to do, and anything I should keep an eye on. I’m very mindful about safety. I double check doors and windows, keep trash secured, and make sure nothing hazardous is left out.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I’m typically available around the holidays, and I understand that’s when people travel most. Just reach out early, so I can make sure to reserve time for your kitty.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Definitely, the colorful cat springs and the mouse toys. In my experience, those toys keeps them occupied for a while.

We had a wonderful experience with May while we were out of the country from April 2–6. We have three cats—Dusty, Cream, and Bailey—and she took exceptional care of all of them. Bailey is a recent rescue from our yard and is still not very socialized, so we were especially appreciative of how patient and attentive May was with him. She made sure he was fed properly and even managed to send us photos of him, which gave us great peace of mind. May visited twice daily, consistently feeding the cats, cleaning their litter boxes, and sending updates with pictures after each visit. She also checked in when she arrived and when she left, which made us feel very secure while we were away. On top of that, she went above and beyond by bringing in our mail and packages each day. And as a bonus, she captured an absolutely amazing photo of Dusty standing on just his two back legs—a true keeper! We felt completely confident that our cats and our home were in excellent hands with May. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and are already planning to use her for upcoming trips.

May is so lovely and a dream sitter! We left for ten days total - the longest we have ever left our two girls, so I was a little nervous about it. Usually they become aloof and unsure around brand new people, but they took right to May and looked so happy when we returned! May is so responsive and asked lots of questions during the meet and greet, took great care of the girls (and the house plants) and the house was in great shape when we arrived home. cannot recommend May enough!!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Orange cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
