I’m a dedicated cat sitter with over 10 years of experience raising and caring for cats. I understand that every cat has a unique personality, so when I first meet a cat, I never force interaction. I give them time and space to feel comfortable and approach me at their own pace.

I’m very familiar with daily cat care, including cleaning litter boxes properly, providing fresh food and water, keeping their environment clean, and making sure they feel safe and relaxed. I also know how to play with cats in ways they enjoy, whether they’re energetic or more laid-back.

I’ve raised my own cats since kittenhood, so I’m attentive to behavior changes, routines, and comfort. Shy cats, senior cats, and affectionate lap cats are all welcome—I adjust my care to each cat’s needs. My goal is to make your cat feel secure, loved, and stress-free while you’re away.

Learn More About Suzie

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have more than 10 years of experience caring for cats. I’ve raised my own cats from kittenhood and am very familiar with daily care, and I completed many cat visits requsted by customers.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy building trust with cats, respecting their boundaries, and helping them feel safe and comfortable in their own space.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

One of my friend’s cats is an adorable cat named Meatball. Whenever my friend travels, I take care of him. He’s so gentle and friendly that he even enjoys being petted by people he meets for the first time. He doesn’t get shy at all and is incredibly sweet, so cat sitting for him was always a lot of fun.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two kitties, one is Tori and she is 10 yesrs old. The other one is Buzzie and she is 9 years old.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

My process with new cat parents starts with exchanging detailed information through messages. I ask about the cat’s routine, feeding schedule, litter setup, personality, and any medical or special care needs. During visits, I focus on feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and calmly observing the cat’s behavior and overall condition. I always respect the cat’s comfort level and never force interaction. I provide regular updates with photos so owners feel reassured, and I communicate promptly if I notice anything unusual. My goal is to keep cats comfortable, safe, and stress-free in their home while maintaining clear and reliable communication with their parents.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure safety and security by carefully following the cat parents’ instructions and maintaining consistent routines. I double-check doors and windows upon arrival and before leaving, make sure food and water areas are clean and safe, and keep hazardous items out of reach. I monitor the cat’s behavior, appetite, and litter habits during each visit to spot any concerns early. I never allow cats to access unsafe areas and always move calmly to prevent stress or escape. If there is any sign of illness, injury, or unusual behavior, I notify the owner immediately and follow their preferred emergency plan. I also respect the home by keeping it tidy, securing keys, and maintaining privacy at all times. My goal is to keep both the cats and the home safe, secure, and well cared for while their family is away.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I am usually available during holidays but I am not available on Sundays because I am a dedicated Christian.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toys are scratchers and cat trees, and I also love interactive toys like spring toys and dragonfly hunting toys.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Yes, I have experience caring for particularly timid cats. I always respect their boundaries and never force interaction. I move slowly, keep noise to a minimum, and allow the cat to approach me on their own terms. If a cat prefers to hide, I make sure they feel safe and undisturbed while still checking on their food, water, and litter. I focus on creating a calm, predictable environment and use gentle observation rather than physical contact. Over time, this approach helps timid cats feel more secure without increasing their stress.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
