I'm Kari | Cat Sitting in Somerset, NJ

Hello! My name is Kari Patane, I am 26 years old, and I have one cat and one dog! I have always had a passion for all animals and have been helping out in big ways since I was twelve years old! For as long as I was born, my family always had a full house of pets, including dogs, bunnies, and cats! I am one of four in my family, and by being the youngest, I connected with animals on a deeper level. Fast forward to college, in 2018, I was navigating a new world without my family and I felt lost. I decided to make a visit to the SPCA shelter in Delaware to adopt a cat! Long story short, he chose me, I found my cat soulmate, and the rest is history! Now today, my cat Loki, and I go on amazing adventures together! I trained him to become an adventure cat who travels alongside me and experiences life with me! We go on hikes together, out to eat, to parks, on walks, and vacations! It is so much fun to live life with your cat! In addition, growing up I was always called upon in my neighborhood to take care of all the pets, while families and couples were away. I have cared for a variety of animals including, dogs, cats, bunnies, gerbils, guinea pigs, chinchillas, frogs, fish, etc. My neighbor is a vet and has his own clinic, and I was very intrigued and interested from a young age to learn all about animals. I would volunteer there, and raise awareness for animals that would come in looking for a new home! While I was at college, I worked at Doggie Daycare, caring for, feeding, playing, walking, cleaning, etc. I also found small jobs on care.com throughout my college career and absolutely loved watching over all those furry friends! Also in college, I was a part of a service sorority and one of the services we did was going to shelters each weekend. We brought donated items from the week, walked the dogs and played with them, played with the cats and gave them company, dealt with feeding times, changed litters, gave medications, and many more! Volunteering at the shelter was one of my favorite times and I looked forward to seeing the cats and dogs each week! Currently, I pet sit for a couple of neighbors and family friends, but I am looking to expand and share what I am most passionate about! Over the years, on the side, in addition to working full time, I continued to care for and watch after family's pets. The most frequent compliments I receive are about updates and communication.
