Ever since I was a little girl, I had a deep connection with animals. I can understand how they feel emotionally and physically and what they're thinking or wanting. There hasn't been a moment in my life where I didn't share my home with an animal companion. My first ever cat was Cloie. She was the sweetest black kitty with the most beautiful green eyes I've ever seen. We rescued her from the streets when I was a little girl. I was at my grandmom's house sitting in my mom's parked car waiting to go home. A couple neighborhood friends were with me when all of a sudden this little kitten just appeared from under my feet. I was talking to her, petting her, and holding her. And well, she became my first ever kitty! Currently, I'm lucky to have Teddy and Talia, my two rescued American Pit Bull Terriers, however, there is a void in my heart without having my own cat anymore. Cat sitting through Meowtel allows me to get all the kitty interaction I could want! My journey in caring for cats began with volunteering at an high-intake county animal shelter when I was only 13-years old. Since then I have worked in various roles in the pet care industry (e.g., kennel tech, vet tech, pharmacy tech, cat/dog sitting, etc.). I currently work at a large emergency/specialty animal hospital 3-days a week as a pharmacy technician. While I don't work directly with cats in this role, I have gained lots of up-to-date medical knowledge from reviewing feline medical records and learning which medications and special diets treat various conditions. I gained most of my hands on medical experience with cats at a private, no-kill animal shelter. I had my own special room where I treated and cared for all the sick cats, kittens, and an occasional dog/puppy. Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.
Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.
No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee
We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.
If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
