I have 8 years of experience rescuing, fostering, and finding furever homes for abandoned cats found on the streets. I rescued my first cat as a kitten in 2018 and since then, my part-time mission has become to rescue cats and kittens in need, while also reducing the feral cat population with TNR (trap-neuter-release).

Through the rescue work I’ve done solo and alongside a nonprofit rescue organization, I’ve been able to learn so much about cats at different life stages as well as how to best take care of them when they’re sick. I have experience working with kittens, shy/scared cats, and a few senior kitties. I’ve been able to successfully care for cats with ringworm, upper respiratory infections, ear mites, and other issues that required treatment.
When it comes to cat sitting, I always love to get to know the pet(s) and their owners. I look forward to meeting them and getting a glimpse as to what the kitty’s daily routine looks like so I can provide the best care. I like to ask questions about their purrsonality because I understand that each fur baby is different.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have four adult cats that were all rescued from the streets. My first cat that I rescued as a kitten is Liam. Shortly after, I rescued Fannie and then Beni. The last one added to the mix is Suni.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
For one, I make sure that any string toy or any other toys that can be a possible choking hazard is safely put away. I check that windows and appropriate doors are closed before leaving. I also like to do a head count of each kitty if there are 3 or more cats.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I like to sit and meet them at eye level versus standing or towering over them. Treats can be helpful in these situations but if not, perhaps bringing out their favorite toy can help. Worse case scenario, I like to give them their space and have them come to me when they’re ready. I’ve learned with cats that everything is on their time so having patience is key.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
