I work at Costco so I have early to mid... Hi, my name is Christian. I come highly recommended by the three cats (two brothers named Captain and Tennelle and a black cat named Evie) I regularly see but since I can't own cats in my current living situation I figured this would be a good way to meet new ones a little more often.
I work at Costco so I have early to mid mornings clear and most of the evening into night for some post meal play times be it breakfast or dinner. I have my own transportation so I will be reliable in my schedule. I have a patient and gentle disposition with animals
Note I am on vacation in Europe til the 21st of June if my response times are delayed this is why

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Questions questions questions. What's their temperament around strangers? What type of food do they mostly prefer compared to other flavors to help comfort them in this short period away from their parent? How often, how many and how do they like to get treats? What toy is their favorite and how do they enjoy their play? Any situations to look out for in terms of behavior or health in particular? Also litter box and garbage disposal process?
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Slip in the door and close it as quickly as possible. Then as soon as possible make an account of all cats inside. After everything is checked out and safe go do what is needed to be done. When leaving making sure to leave the door as open as little as possible for the shortest time and walking backwards in order to make sure no one is trying to make a break for it.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Most holidays, I do not have general going away plans because my family is local. For travel holidays I don't care for crowds so for those holidays i will be avaliable for any and all types of sits
What is your favorite cat toy?
Any ribbon type on a stick. Either put it on the ground for them to pounce or whip it a bit in the air for them to catch.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
You just have to let them come to you at their own pace and terms. It's important to make sure they are eating and not showing any signs of overt stress but it's important to give cats their territory.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Wood Ridge cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Chris is such a wonderful person! I recently went away for a little over a week and was worried to leave my 2 cats for so long. Chris made sure to send me daily updates with plenty of pictures which made me feel much better. When I arrived back home Tuxie and Rose acted as if I never even left!
