I am new to pet sitting but have 9 years of experience in a clinic setting with cats of all shapes and sizes. I am able to give medications of all routes (oral, topical and even subcutaneous fluids). I’ve learned over the years that cats love to have their personal space and have a mind of their own. I think that cats behave best when they are in a familiar space such as their own home. I look forward to making new 4 (even 3) legged furry friends!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

When it comes to looking for a cat sitter I think a pet parent should look for someone that is comfortable being around a cat of any age and needs. Someone who is also a available to make biscuits with their cat!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When I have a new pet parent message me about cat sitting I like to set up a meet and greet prior. I like to make sure I have a clear understanding of where things are and go over feeding instructions and any medications their kitty might need. Also go over any gate codes, emergency numbers, etc to minimize any issues while the pet owner is on vacation.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Any cat that could be timid or anxious should be given space. You should never invite yourself into any space that you’re not being welcome. Working with cats in a high stress environment you learn that cats like to do things on their terms and nothing should be forced.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
