Just like most people on here, I’m a huge animal lover.

I have had cat companions all my life and currently have a 4 year old tuxedo named Macaroni. His common nicknames include but are not limited to: Mac, Macklemore, and Noodle. He loves concrete, trying to eat any and all plants, and does not appreciate when he his fed later than normal.

With being around cats my whole life, I have had to learn how to administer different types of topical treatments, oral medications, and take a scratch here and there.

I will always follow a pawrents instructions on their pets feeding times/portions, medication administration, etc.

I am happy to ensure health, saftey, and love to all cats but also understand that some cats take time to come around to new people. For the cats who aren’t fond of new humans, I gain their trust with feeding, refreshing water bowls, cleaning litter boxes, and some treats while respecting their boundaries.

Huge fan of cats (and all animals) and would like to meet many more in my lifetime! 🐱

I have been cat sitting for friends and family for about 15 years off and on. I recently moved so I’m looking to expand area of expertise.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Giving them their space and letting them get accustomed to the new person in their environment. As long as I’m calm and inviting to them, they are more likely to get comfortable with me.

I can’t say enough positive things about Kevan! It was our first time leaving our cat alone, and Kevan made it possible for us to enjoy our weekend away without worrying. Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
