Hi there! I’m Dianne, a gentle and caring cat sitter who truly loves getting to know each cat’s unique personality! Whether your kitty is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, I take time to make them feel safe, happy, and loved! 🧶🐈

Learn More About Dianne

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting for about eight years, caring for the pets of friends, family members, and neighbors. Over the years, I’ve looked after cats with all kinds of personalities — from playful kittens to shy rescues and senior cats who love a calm routine. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how to build trust, keep cats comfortable in their own space, and give each one the attention and care they need while their owners are away!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When I work with a new cat parent, I like to start with a quick chat or meet-and-greet to learn about their cat’s personality, routine, and preferences. I ask about feeding schedules, favorite toys, hiding spots, and any special needs or quirks. I also review important details like vet information, emergency contacts, and home care instructions. Once sitting begins, I stick closely to the routine your cat knows and loves, send regular photo updates, and keep communication open so you always feel at ease while you’re away.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When caring for timid or anxious cats, I always move slowly and let them set the pace. I start by sitting quietly so they can observe me and get used to my scent and voice. I avoid direct eye contact, speak softly, and use gentle movements to show I’m not a threat. Over time, I’ll offer treats or toys to build positive associations and trust. I’ve found that patience, consistency, and calm energy help even the shyest cats feel safe and comfortable.

This month

Dianne was so wonderful and we were fortunate to have her care for our cat. When Dianne visited prior to us leaving, we could tell Honey liked her right away. We were concerned about leaving because Honey is anxious and we had just lost our other cat, so she was newly all alone. Dianne put our fears to rest. She sent lots of pictures that clearly showed Honey was comfortable, engaged and very well cared for. Dianne will be our new go-to sitter. Very highly recommend her!

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Albany cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
