What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Look for a cat sitter who truly understands feline behavior—not just someone who likes cats, but someone who gets them. Every cat has different needs, routines, and quirks, and a great sitter will take the time to learn and adapt. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about their experience, especially with medical care or shy cats. Trust your gut during the meet and greet—your cat’s comfort and your peace of mind matter most. And always choose someone who communicates well and sends regular updates—you deserve to feel confident and connected while you’re away.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I always start with a short meet & greet when possible so your cat can get used to my scent, voice, and presence while you’re still home. I also take that time to ask detailed questions about their routine, favorite toys, quirks, and any do’s and don’ts. On my first visit, I enter calmly and quietly, often with a spritz of Feliway and give the cat space to approach me on their terms. I speak softly, offer treats (if approved), and always respect their boundaries so we can build trust at their pace

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

As someone with nearly 10 years in veterinary medicine, safety is second nature to me. I always double-check that doors and windows are secure, make sure food, litter, and meds (if needed) are handled properly, and follow any specific instructions you leave. I also stay alert to changes in behavior or health and will never hesitate to reach out if something seems off. I treat your home with the same care and respect I give your cat—lights, locks, and routines are all followed exactly as requested to ensure peace of mind while you're away.

Monique was absolutely excellent. I made a last-minute reservation for 6 visits during Thanksgiving week, and she was very responsive throughout. Monique went out of her way to arrive early to ensure the apartment keys were picked up on time. During the visits, communication was great — I received daily updates and photos of Kiki. Monique also adjusted her visit times to help ensure my newly purchased feeder was working properly. I highly recommend her!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
