Fast forward to 8 years ago when a friend rescued Oscar from our... I love all animals, but cats have my adoration and respect for their sincere way of just being themselves. While you are away, I will love your kitties like my own two loves: Lily and Oscar. I've been a cat-lover since I was 10 years-old when we rescued Lily from ASPCA. She wasn't the friendliest cat that day, but I was drawn to her and she chose me. We shared 17 years together and I appreciate all she taught me about loving, respect, patience and consistency.
Fast forward to 8 years ago when a friend rescued Oscar from our block here in BK and I got thrown into the deep end with giardia, fleas and a respitory infection! After months of medications and vet visits, with his health secured, he revealed himself as a major lover-boy, greeting all our guests at home and initiating our daily snuggle sessions. Add to it: we have a nightly zoomie ritual and play wrestling matches, he has shown me how playful, rambunctious and tender a cat can be.
With these virtually opposite temperaments and needs, know that I am adaptable and excited to learn, respect and care for your cat while you are away. From the snuggliest to the more skiddish, I approach each kitty with a balance of patience and curiosity, whilst respecting your routines and preferences for their care as their parent.

Lily I had since I was 10 for 17 years and Oscar is with me now for the last 8 years. Two nearly opposite temperaments, but my loves!
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, absolutely! I was born and raised in Harlem and spend the holidays with my family locally and would be happy to bring some joy and cheer to your cats while you are away!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I give them space and time to become comfortable and hopefully even curious about me. No sudden movements, strong fragrances, nor loud sounds. Treats, if allowed, never hurt! Lily was this way, so I am accustomed, and I simply respect whatever the cat is showing me they are comfortable with at any given time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
