Hi! I’m a Greenpoint cat parent and experienced neighborhood cat sitter who loves making new kitty friends. My own cat can be high-anxiety, so I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and letting each cat warm up at their own pace.

I love learning every cat’s personality, routine, favorite toys, treats, hiding places, and preferred style of affection. Whether your cat wants lots of playtime and cuddles or simply a calm, reassuring presence nearby, I’ll follow their lead and make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away.

I’m available for cats in Greenpoint and will happily send plenty of photos and videos so you can see how your kitty is doing!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I am a cat parent myself of a 9 year old Bengal kitty who certainly knows how to insert herself and unfortunately has some anxious tendencies including urinating outside of her litter box. I have also sitted for some of the adorable and fabulous kitties in my building from time to time. I have experience administering medication, cleaning out alll kinds of litter boxes, dealing with anxious cats , hiding cats, temperamental cats and love them all to pieces 😻😻😻

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I recently looked after my neighbors 2 cats for 3 days and fell in love with their personalities (could not be more opposite). Her orange cat mochi (of course orange) was such a ham and could not get enough attention while Miso was a bit shy; not eating quickly enough for her brothers stealthy appetite. I finally got Miso to feel comfortable with pets after 3 days and figured out how to feed her without her brother stealing her food!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

My own cat gets a bit nervous when I leave her for vacation and tends to urinate outside of her litter box 😭😭😭 to give me feedback on my departure. I've developed an attention feedback system with her so she knows I plan to come back and especially for cat sitters who come to look in on her. Just giving them space to find safety and comfort in me before approaching them and giving them some routine play time at the beginning and end of the visit so there's positive reinforcement with leaving. Making sure a cat feels safe with me and giving them lots of pets and tender affection can also help. I also ensure that the litter box is as clean as can be and administer anti anxiety medication if needed. šŸ’œ

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
