Learn More About Taylor

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Like humans, every cat is unique, and I love learning about each cat and their special personalities and quirks. It truly gives me so much joy to care for your cat, and I’m passionate about making sure your cat is as happy and content as possible while you’re away!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a shy but sweet one-eyed black cat named Bean, who is 6 years old. I recently also welcomed a 6 month old kitten named Josie into my family, and she is slowly being introduced!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Here are my suggestions to help you pick the right timeframe: 20 mins: Great for cats that are independent, I’ll have around 10 mins left for play and pets after feeding, refreshing water, and cleaning their litter box. 45-60 mins: Suggested for multiple cats/cats that need more interaction and playtime. I will be able to give your cat(s) at least half an hour of play or pets, whatever they prefer! Also good for shy cats that need more time to trust me, or cats that require medication administration. Overnights: Great for cats that are prone to anxiety, human-obsessed, need timed medications, bathroom monitoring, or simply need more playtime to get their zoomies out!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

My cat Bean is an anxious cat, and I know how stressful it can be introducing new people to them. I take an empathetic and slow approach when working with cats that are timid, letting them interact with me at their own pace, while still giving them top-quality care and attention.

Taylor came over for a meet and greet with our cat ahead of an upcoming trip. Although our feisty cat was not initially happy with a stranger entering her headquarters, she managed to accept Taylor’s presence. Taylor was not startled at all by our kitty, and we really appreciated that. We discussed logistics (our cat is on meds) and Taylor offered alternatives in the event that our cat isn’t bribed with Churu (her usual way of taking her medication). Thank you, Taylor!

Taylor was an absolutely phenomenal cat sitter, and gave my partner and I total peace of mind while we were traveling. Our furry feline is a menace, and extremely feisty with strangers. That didn't scare Taylor one bit, and her experience showed with each visit. Comprehensive reports after each visitation, frequent photos to help with separation anxiety, and a friendly meet n' greet before we departed to give her the lay of the land. We could really depend on Taylor to feed our cat meals, refill water bowls, empty the litter box, play with toys for a bit, you name it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for that professional, above & beyond assistance.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
