What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting for years, both informally for friends and family and in a professional capacity via another pet sitting platform. I’ve cared for cats with a wide range of needs—from playful kittens to senior cats with medical conditions. I’m experienced with administering insulin, giving subcutaneous fluids, and supporting cats with chronic illnesses like diabetes, CKD, and even post-stroke recovery. I’ve also worked with shy or anxious cats, always taking a calm, respectful approach to help them feel safe and at ease. Whether your cat is cuddly, curious, or needs a little extra patience, I know how to meet them where they are and give them the care and attention they deserve.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! I currently have one mischievous kitty named George of the Jungle—and he lives up to the name. He’s part Curious George, part jungle explorer. He climbs everything: doors, cabinets, the fridge—you name it. He’s my little acrobat.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I always take a gentle, patient approach with timid or anxious cats. I let them come to me on their own terms and never force interaction. I’ll usually start by sitting nearby and letting them sniff me out, speaking softly and moving slowly to build trust. Sometimes just being a calm, quiet presence is exactly what they need. I pay attention to their body language and respect their boundaries, whether that means giving them space or offering a favorite toy or treat to help break the ice. Over time, I’ve found that even the shyest cats start to warm up once they feel safe and understood.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
