I know when I go out of town, my biggest stress is finding someone I trust to care for my little zoo... That's why I want to help others enjoy their time away from home without the stress of worrying about their kitties! I will treat your kitties with all of the love and care I give my own. I am patient, gentle, and understanding with every cat I meet and want to make sure they are comfortable and not overwhelmed. If you have a scared or nervous kitty, I will make sure to be calm and patient with them to make sure they feel comfortable during my visit... Hi everyone! My name is Jess and I've been an avid animal lover my entire life. I currently have 4 rescued cats of my own, as well as 2 rescue dogs and a mess of lizards (me and my fiance rescue & breed reptiles!)

In the past, I have volunteered at the Batavia Animal Shelter and the Lakeshore Humane Society caring for the cats & walking dogs 🙂
My full-time job is with Independent Health, but I work remotely, so I am able to cat-sit before/after work and any time on weekends. I live in Hamburg, so my radius is 20 mins from Hamburg for short visits. Any visits over 20 mins from my home will only be accepted if they are 45+ min visits. Please note that twice a day visits will only be accepted within 3 miles of Hamburg.
I am vaccinated & boosted for COVID-19 and will wear a mask while visiting your home if requested! I can also sanitize doorknobs when leaving if needed.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Providing the peace and mind to the cat parents. I know I've always struggled to leave my cats so knowing I can give that relief to someone else is invaluable. And spending time with the kitties is a huge bonus of course!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite is with a client who has 5 cats and makes me feel less like a crazy cat lady and more like a slightly unhinged one 😂 I was able to win all 5 of them over my first day visiting them (even the shy ones that don't come out for strangers!) and ever since, I actually look forward to seeing them and playing with them so much.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have 4 - Jemma, Moose, Casper, and Frodo. They are all best friends and it's a dream come true!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find someone who you can trust to give your cats the same care you would give them - if your cat seems to warm up during the meet & greet, it's a sign they can be trusted - cats always know! If they don't warm up during the meet & greet, they usually will when they start missing their owners while they're away!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always make sure doors are closed before walking into ensure no one can escape. I never open windows and ensure all doors are locked when I leave.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I try to stay home during the holidays so I can accommodate my clients travel needs :) I rarely travel for holidays.
What is your favorite cat toy?
The Cat dancer! It is 100% approved by every cat I've tried it with! They have so much fun with them.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I approach them slowly and carefully, never forcing myself on them. I try to win them over with treats and soft words.

A literal lifesaver. I’d never used a service like this before, but a very unique & frantic set of circumstances came up. My cat started on meds twice daily for pancreatitis in November 2025. My husband was out of town last week when my father was admitted to the hospital 800 miles away. I requested Jess super late Wednesday night, and with nearly no notice and definitely no meet & greet she was medicating my poor, abandoned cat by Thursday. She was amazing about communication and I am beyond grateful for her willingness to get my cat (who is admittedly a bit of a spicy personality) her required meds.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Buffalo cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Jess was a fantastic caretaker for my elderly cat. She took the time to drop by ahead of my trip to meet me and my cat, Macy, and I felt very much at ease knowing that she would be checking in on her while I was gone. She charmed Macy, who is normally very shy, out from under the bed for belly rubs and pets, and was purring away for her each visit. Jess sent videos, pictures, and updates each time she came, and even brought the mail in! I can’t recommend Jess enough — I will definitely be hiring her for all my future trips away.

Jess was incredible and exceeded my expectations by a mile! This was my first time leaving my four cats and I was very nervous. She kept in touch with many pictures and videos at each and every visit and I could tell she loved and treated my cats as if they were her own. Jess is absolutely AMAZING! My cat is my only “kid” and I wouldn’t leave her with just anyone. I am super picky and overprotective of her. Most importantly, Jess and my cat, Chloe, warmed up to each other immediately during our Meet and Greet. I go by mostly Chloe’s reaction, but I had a great feeling about her as well. Jess is crazy attentive to all details I told her about dealing with Chloe and where everything can be found. Chloe trained Jess very quickly! Lol Jess and I kept in contact every day and she always sent pictures and videos which greatly helped my anxiety about leaving Chloe. I basically trusted Jess with the most important little furry friend in my life. Chloe continued to live the life of a princess while I was on vacation thanks to Jess!
