I’ve had cats as pets since I was 2 years old. My first cat's name was Victor. He was a quiet cat, loved laying in the sunlight and drinking the milk out of my cereal bowl. He developed diabetes after a steroid shot he needed after he snuck out and got into an altercation with another cat. For a couple of years we gave him insulin shots 2x a day until unfortunately, it became too much for him and we said goodbye after 13 awesome years. After a couple of months, we started looking at cats again. I found a kitten that was about 3 months old online, and my mom and I went to go meet him. While at the foster home, we met the kitten, but another one who was about 2 months old kept climbing up to us to give us hugs. We left with 2 kittens that day, instead of just the 1 we intended. We named them Spencer (named after Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds) and Albus (named after Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter). In addition to administering insulin to Victor, I have experience with other medications as well. Spencer, as a kitten in the foster home, developed an eye infection from a herpes virus. I was so nervous about leaving Monky for our vacation but after meeting Canaan my fears were assuaged. Monky took to her right away (when she is normally very skittish around new people.) Canaan just has this kitty charming way about her and knows exactly how to connect. I was impressed with her attention to detail for everything kitty related but also just being in your home, like for mail and plants. I didn't ask for this but she took care of the mail anyway! I had her come visit daily for five days. I specified morning or evening on two of the days, which she diligently made work, but the rest of the time, she nailed down a consistent schedule which I think helped Monky to feel more comfortable when she came over. Playtime was adorable. (As I saw in the many photos and videos she sent.) She played with the toys like they were her prey and switched things up if they weren't responding. Playtime was a priority for me and she did not disappoint. It was obvious there was a great deal of time that was spent just hanging out too. She reported on what she fed her, how well Monky ate, and what she was interested in (or not interested in.) She gave her a variety of puzzles and treats which I had laid out for her to use at her will. The litter detail was most impressive of all. Not only did she pay attention to what she scooped but she even scooped out all the small clumps so the litter was immaculate when I got back. I really appreciate the photos and videos since I will have them forever. I get to see Monky in a new light and with a new friend. I will only use Canaan for future sittings. I had the best vacation without any worries and now Monky is acting like we never left!

Canaan was responsive to my late booking from the word "go". My diabetic cat's insulin dose increased slightly since Canaan had last seen her so she called to make sure she had it right. Oh heck, if I tell you how great Canaan is with cats I'll never get to book her again, she will be so in demand. But this cat lover gave my 3 cats 6 days of care that minimized the shock of our absence. Her updates were complete and she didn't drop the little details we discussed to make their time without us manageable. My shy cats were comfortable with her in no time and trust is a virtue she has in abundance.

Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.
Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.
No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee
We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.
If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
