During each visit, Iāll provide fresh food and water, clean the litter box, play with your cat if they enjoy it, and give them plenty of attention (or quiet company if thatās what they prefer!). Iāll also send photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your furry friend is doing well.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Iāve been caring for cats for several years as a cat owner, and I also have experience looking after friendsā and familyās cats while theyāre away. Having cats of my own has taught me how important it is to maintain their routine, recognize changes in behavior, and earn their trust at their own pace. Iām comfortable with feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, and giving lots of love and attention. Whether your cat is outgoing or shy, Iāll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while youāre away, and Iāll keep you updated with photos and messages after every visit.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have two cats of my own, Shurjo and Chaandi. They inspired my love for cat sitting and have taught me how unique every cat is. Because Iām a cat parent myself, I understand how important routines, patience, and trust are. I care for every cat like theyāre my own and always send plenty of photo and video updates so you can enjoy your trip knowing your kitty is happy and well cared for.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
The safety of your cat and your home is always my top priority. Iāll carefully follow your care instructions and maintain your catās normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I always double-check that doors, windows, and gates are locked before leaving, and Iām extra cautious when entering and exiting to prevent indoor cats from slipping outside. During each visit, Iāll make sure your cat has fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and Iāll keep an eye out for any changes in their behavior or health. If I notice anything unusual, Iāll contact you right away. I also respect your home by keeping it clean, treating it with care, and leaving it exactly as I found it.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
