I grew up around cats, my whole life, so I am familiar with how needs might change as cats age. I currently have two cats of my own. I have experience with cat sitting for many families and that also includes cleaning, and medication administration. I am a volunteer cat socializer at a local animal rescue.

Outside of cat sitting I do have a full-time job, which is teaching. When I am not teaching or cat sitting, you can find me spending time with my own cats, spending time with family, cooking, kickboxing, and reading.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for a few years. It initially started as cat, sitting for family and friends, I then expanded and now have a handful of clients.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is building rapport with each cat. I truly believe that our pets are part of our family so my priority is to treat them like one of my own while you are away.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I currently have two cats of my own. They are both male cats named Dart and Reggie. They are truly a joy in my life.

Are you usually available during holidays?

During the holidays, I am typically available. I am a teacher so I do get federal holidays off, which actually opens my availability a little more.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

As a volunteer any local animal rescue their requirements that I have to meet, and some of those requirements include training. Most recently, I took a training on Cat body language and humane handling. Just like humans, a cat behavior is a way that they communicate. How I handle timid, or anxious cats is being aware of their body language, and the signals that they are giving off, and going at their pace.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
