Hi! My name is Evelin and I am an NYC native with a love for animals. I cared for my fur baby for 15 years before he unfortunately passed this year. My time with my baby has shown me the ups and downs of caring for a cat, especially one as fussy as him! It also showed me the love and care we let parents have and the importance of taking cat sitting seriously. Despite the obvious differences, working with people has given me the patience and skills needed to care for animals and tend to their needs. Cats are also much cuter than people, so that helps! I have experience in administering medication both orally and under the skin, cleaning, feeding, you name it. I also am fortunate to have a vet in the family who teaches me something new everyday. I would love the opportunity to connect with your fur babies and provide them with the service they deserve.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have (had?) a 15 year old cat named Kitty who passed in May 2026. He was a tux and some may consider him not so friendly, but he’s perfect in my eyes. Kitty has had a few medical complications in the last few years. Those moments have taught me how to be strong and practice preventative care to ease his aging process. He is my best friend, and I took caring for him very seriously.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I belive in clear communication at all times! I like to ask questions if I am unsure about something. I also am more than happy to answer questions. As a cat parent myself, I understand the nerves that comes with leaving your fur baby at home. I aim to ease that stress and allow cat parents to enjoy their time away.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Despite living in a noisy neighborhood in NYC, my cat was quite anxious. Growing up with him has shown me the need for flexibility and understanding when communicating with animals. I do not try to push a cat’s boundaries, rather I give them the space to familiarize themselves and feel safe. I don’t expect every cat to be open to pets or cuddles, as my own baby was not as receptive to those either. Providing for a cat’s needs shows just as much affection as the physical aspects.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
