What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I cat sat for a family with four cats from May 2022 up until earlier this year when they moved away. Each cat had their own distinct personality with different needs, and this experience has taught me how to care for a variety of personalities when it comes to cats.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love the process of developing a sense of trust between myself and cats when cat sitting. No two cats are alike, so whether that connection is created by engaging in a playtime session or understanding that they would prefer some space at first, being able to learn how to best develop a connection when cat sitting is so special to me.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

As an owner of a shy cat, I know how important it is to give anxious cats space. It can be hard for them to warm up to new people, so I will keep my distance while ensuring they know I am here to care for them. Patience and gentleness are necessary when caring for all cats, especially those that are timid and anxious.

Katera was great! She took care of my daughter's two cats (a Maine Coon and a kitten) over the Thanksgiving weekend. Communication was great, and she was clearly loving with the cats, playing with them and even getting the shy kitty out from hiding (plus, she cleaned up a couple of messes!). We will definitely use her again!

Katera was awesome! In addition to taking care of the necessities (feeding my kitty and taking care if her litter box), she really took the time to play with her and cuddle with her every day so that she'd have company while I was away. I'll definitely be hiring her whenever I go on a trip again.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
