I travel quite a bit these days, which is why I don’t currently have a cat of my own. But I absolutely adore cats and genuinely miss having them around... I’ve been a cat person for as long as I can remember. I’ve had cats of my own and have also volunteered at a cat shelter, where I got to know all kinds of feline personalities from the confident social butterflies to the shy cats who need a little more patience and space.
I travel quite a bit these days, which is why I don’t currently have a cat of my own. But I absolutely adore cats and genuinely miss having them around. What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most is getting to know each cat’s unique personality. Through volunteering at a cat shelter, I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with many different cats, each with their own quirks and needs. I’ve also enjoyed caring for my neighbors’ cats, which has given me the chance to build relationships with them in their own homes. I love earning a cat’s trust and seeing their personality come out once they feel comfortable and safe.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I’m available during some holidays and can be flexible to accommodate your needs. For example, I’ll be available throughout the Christmas and New Year holidays this year. I’m happy to discuss your specific dates and care needs.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I’ll give them the space they need, avoid forcing interaction, and build trust gradually through a calm, consistent presence. I pay attention to their body language and comfort level so they can feel safe and secure. Once they’re ready to come out of their shell, I’m happy to give them as much attention, playtime, or affection as they want.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
