Hi everyone! My name is Sydnee and am so excited to look after your furbabies. I have two cats of my own who are named Clementine (Clem/Clemmy) and Crouton (Crutney/Crustacean). I have had 5 other family cats as well and 3 of them (Boba, Chia, and Kiwi) live at home in Arizona with my mom and sister. I have always been an animal lover and I treat my cats as if they were my literal children. I am very patient with cats and feel like I have a deep understanding of them no matter their unique personalities and quirks. All of my cats have each been so different and it’s been such a fun journey to find how to best show my love and connect with them. My cats definitely are my emotional support animals (even though they don’t act like it sometimes) so I love spending time with any and all animals to make them feel loved the same way they do for me.

For more about me, I recently moved to NYC after graduating college in AZ. I am currently in grad school, pursuing a master’s degree in speech pathology. I plan to specialize in stuttering, since I have had a stutter of my own for 15 years. I live in uptown Manhattan, but do not mind traveling wherever you reside. I have taken care of my cats when they have experienced medical issues and needed medication administered, so I am comfortable doing this for your cats during my visits. I am open to learning any ways to best support your cats if this is something you are comfortable with instructing me on. I am pretty flexible in my schedule and great at communicating with cats and humans alike, so I hope you will consider me as your next cat sitter! :)

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been a cat mom for about 10 years, so I am well versed in cat care taking and feel confident in my abilities to cat sit until you return home. Outside of catsitting for family/friends, I’ve been catsitting professionally while I’ve been enrolled in grad school! It’s been a great gig to have and brightens my day to be able to hang out with so many cats in my free time :)

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love getting the chance to meet other cats and help you out in those times you need to travel. I know the anxiety that comes with leaving your cats at home and needing to know that you have a trustworthy person to look after your cats while you’re gone. It gives me purpose to feel like I am helping bring some comfort to you and your cats in those moments that I would want for myself as well when in need of a cat sitter. I also just have a big heart and my cats don’t always want all of the love I am trying to show them. I thought it would be a great thing to give the love I have leftover to other kitties who are feeling nervous and need to be loved up temporarily until you return home.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Almost all of my cats have been timid or anxious, so I have a lot of experience learning their love language and how to create a safe space for cats. It’s important for me to know their favorite toys, treats, and ways they exist when around you so that I can try to recreate the stability they feel in these moments. If anything else, I respect your cat’s boundaries and am good at reading when they need a little more time to warm up to me or when they just want to do their own thing.

Sydnee was able to take care of our senior sick cat and she never asked us wether he bites or scratches when told her that he is sick and he will need to be fed by syringes twice a day. She took care of him, prepare his food accordingly and sent us pictures/videos every day letting us know how he's doing. She brought our deliveries in our home, washed out kitty's rugs, and turned on the A/C before our arrival to make us comfortable as we got home after a week. She took exceptional care of our Ralphie and I would recommend her without no hesitation to any cat parents.

Sydnee was so great with my fur babies she treated them as if they were her own she provided love and attention to all 5 cats and she made me happy knowing that someone was treating them like I would if I was home she gave me daily updates via photos and video I would recommend her to anyone who wants someone to treat their pets like family she went above and beyond and I would definitely use her as a cat sitter again. Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

New York cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
