What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been formally cat sitting for about 20 years (since I was about 10). I would have neighbors who would frequently travel and have to leave their 3 cats behind. I sat for them twice a month for 8 years and developed a very close bond with each of their kitties. After moving to the city 7 years ago, I would frequently cat sit for friends that could go out of town, picking up some formal clients along the way.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would say to prioritize hiring a cat sitter who is overly communicative. Almost anyone can follow directions but asking for clarification during a meet and greet and making sure to send pictures and updates during the drop in is beyond important for your nerves when you are away. It’s priceless to be able to trust a sitter knows excatly what to do and that you know exactly how your kitties are doing while you are away.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes! I am available all holidays (unless otherwise indicated. Most my family travels to NYC for major holidays so I do not leave the city very much!

Alexis is a kind and trustworthy person with whom I have trusted my own cats with for years. My cat loves her as do her own, Wednesday and Paloma. She is extremely detail oriented and communicative and makes sure to follow instructions and directions to a 'T' with very clear and timely updates and photos. I genuinely dont trust any other person with my cat more than her. She has a life long client in me!

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
