*I have always had multiple cats, ever since I was a kid! Currently, I have 4 furry children of my own.
*I have been heavily involved in cat rescue, fostering, and adoption for nearly 20 years - it is my passion!
*I have years of experience socializing and rehabilitating kitties who have been neglected, abused, feral/semi-feral, and traumatized, and subsequently nervous, shy, or aggressive. (It’s amazing what time, love, and patience can do!)
*Professionally, I am a working actor (you may have seen me on TV at some point!). I also work in administrative support 3 days a week.
*I am completely trustworthy, professional, compassionate, communicative, and dependable. You’ll never have to worry about a thing!
*I am fully vaccinated (and up-to-date boosted) for COVID-19.

MY SPECIALTIES:
*Anxious/Shy/ Nervous cats – My specialty! I have been called a “cat whisperer” countless times (a true badge of honor!)
*Medical & Special Needs cats – Years of experience with cats who need medical assistance, or who are blind, deaf, have neurological disorders, or have impaired mobility.
*Behavioral & Territorial issues – I’ve seen and managed it all, including in my own home!
*I have cared for cats of all breeds and ages, kitten through senior.
*I have multiple Meowsters Degrees (and was Class Pawledictorian) in chin scritchies, cheek rubs, and snuggles! 😸👩‍🎓

MEDICAL EXPERIENCE:
*I have first-hand experience with various health conditions, having been through many with my own cats over the years (various cancers, chronic & polycystic kidney disease, diabetes, anemia, amputations, digestive issues, anxiety, depression). Specific care includes:

~Injectable administration (ie: insulin)
~Glucose monitoring
~SubQ fluids administration
~Medication administration (liquids, topicals, pills, eye drops, inhalers)
~Prescription diets

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
*“When You’re Here, You’re Family” – except instead of breadsticks, it’s cats! I have wonderful relationships with my clients, and deep, personal connections to their kitties. They’re family! I will always treat your kitties as if they were my own – because as far as I’m concerned, while you’re away, they are!
*All visits include feeding, fresh water, litterbox management/updates (in case anything sus), and personal & play time with your kitties.
*I will always provide (more like spam!) you with detailed updates, photos, and videos, so you can fully relax while away.
*I will always leave your home exactly as I found it - you’ll never even know I was there (unless it’s in a positive way!)
*I am very clean and respectful of all homes, privacy, and dietary preferences, including vegetarian/vegan/kosher/halal kitchens where I am very careful to avoid any cross-contamination.

NOT SURE HOW MUCH TIME? HERE ARE MY RECOMMENDATIONS!:
~20-minute visits are purrfect for those just needing a drop-in to cover the basics.
~45-minute visits are purrfect for those wanting more one-on-one/play time, or for kitties who might need a little more time to warm up.
~60-minute visits are purrfect for those who want lots of personal & play time, or for those with multiple cats (like me!) which may require a bit more time and attention.
~Overnight visits are purrfect for those who value the comfort of having someone present with their cat for a longer period of time, especially if they have special needs! These visits are always at least 12 hours long (usually longer) and always include dinner feeding & breakfast the following morning.

**2026 GENERAL AVAILABILITY 🗓️**
Tues/Wed/Thurs - I am available for evening visits only, as I work an office job until 5pm.
Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon - I am available for all visits.

If you don't see a date you need, please message me!

I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have, so please don’t hesitate to reach out! I can't wait to meet you and your furbabies! 🐈♥️

Learn More About Caitlin

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting with Meowtel since 2022 (4 years), and many years prior to that on my own. I've also had my own cats my entire life, so my experience has been very thorough and consistent.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

The thing I enjoy most about cat sitting are the bonds I form with the cats (as well as their pawrents!) There is nothing more rewarding than winning over and forming a close relationship with a kitty, especially a shy baby or “tough cookie.” Having them remember you and trust you fully (or even better, actually be excited to see you!) is definitely the best feeling!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite cat sitting reservation was with this beautiful, shy void named Rora. She was the sweetest thing you could imagine, but painfully shy - previous sitters apparently never even saw her when they visited (which is crazy to me!) Not only was I able to win her over (entirely on her terms), but by the end of the weekend she was cozying up and sitting in my lap - unheard of! She became my princess that day, and she remains one of my favorite kitty clients! We have a very strong bond and great intuition, which I pride myself on forming with my clients.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Currently, I have 4 furry rescue children of my own: Little Mama (5); her “babies”, Pearl and Lionel (4); and my sassy senior floof, Cashmere (13)! Cashmere was rescued from an abusive situation, where she had been locked in a basement for years and also abused physically. She was rescued by Beth (and Howard) Stern, and I adopted her from her program! She has come so far - from scared and aggressive, to full on lap cat! It's been my greatest honor helping her learn to give and receive love and happiness. Little Mama, Pearl, and Lionel are a family unit! I went to adopt one, and came out with all 3 :) Little Mama is half-Persian, so she has a cute little smooshed face; and Pearl & Lionel are half Ragdoll. They're all very beautiful, sweet, and totally obsessed with each other!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

We all think about the basics (food, water, litter box) when hiring a sitter, but having recently been on the other side and hiring a cat sitter myself, the most important thing for me was not just the basics but the emotional wellbeing and stress levels of my kitties! When pawrents are away, all cats will get stressed to a point - but for me, it was imperative to try to reduce that feeling as much as possible, and that goes far past the basics! Trust the vibes of the sitter (when you know, you know!) and NEVER hesitate to give as many details as possible about your cat's temperament, preferences, and personality! Never TMI - the more we know going in, the more we know what to expect and how to best cater to their individual emotional needs and make their time as stress-reducing (and fun!) as possible!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

First, we'll send a few messages back and forth and discuss the preliminary items - that way, you can get a feel for my personality, and I can get a feel for yours (and your needs!)! As we get closer to your reservation, we will set up an introduction/meet and greet, where you can show me the ropes and ask me any questions you'd like. We'll also exchange keys/go over building & apt. access at this time. Most importantly, I make it my top priority to make you feel as comfortable as possible and know that your kitties are in good hands! I know firsthand how nerve-wracking it can be to leave them, so making you and your furbaby comfortable will always be my top priority.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always have emergency information on hand and accessible and will contact you immediately if anything feels even slightly off. I never open a window, and am extremely careful about doors and entering and leaving (no kitty can get past me, I'm too quick!) I'm very careful about cleaners and chemicals, to ensure nothing harms your cat. And when I manage the litterbox every visit, I always keep an eye out to make sure a) it's being used at all (no FLUTD or blockages on my watch!), and b) that everything looks normal (consistency, smell, blood, etc.). Even with spit-up, I will always alert you that it happened, regardless of whether it looks to be an issue or not, so you will be kept abreast of their health and safety at all times.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Unless I am traveling or out of town myself, I am always available to work holidays! I have worked Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years the last 4 years. I'm happy to hold down the fort for you while you are away with family - that way your kitty still has what feels like "family" here!

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love these catnip sticks from Amazon, they’re made from silvervine and sisel rope and have a dried berry that amplifies the catnip (they’re also very good for their teeth!) For interactive toys, I love the ones that look like a sack and have either a motorized ball or wands moving around underneath - my cats go bananas for them! For playtime, I also love a good wand toy to get them running and leaping around.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Shy/anxious cats are my top specialty, as well as cats with special needs and/or specific medical care. I have personally helped rehabilitate and socialize many cats over the years (including my own!). The key is PATIENCE. It is important to go nice and slowly and let the cat set the pace entirely. Cats, shy or not, are territorial by nature - their home is their safe space, so the key is to never chase, overstimulate, or invade their safe space. I maintain distance (coming closer gradually, and ONLY on their terms); I make sure to come down to their level physically so as not to be seen as a threat; I do lots of slow blinking; and I speak very softly to them, so they start to get used to my voice. Eventually, they become curious and will engage more and more. Treats as a positive association never hurts!!

Caitlin was amazing and took great care of Sid. She clearly loves cats. She sent us lots of photos as videos everyday. We had a issue with the door lock on the first day and she communicated with us really well and went out of her way to help resolve the problem. Would recommend her 10/10.

Caitlin is amazing! My cat is usually very shy, but the first time he was alone with her, he gave her a head butt — that says everything! She was so kind and friendly with him, and I truly think they’re BFFs now. I feel completely comfortable leaving my cat in her care and will definitely be booking Caitlin every time. Highly recommend! 🐾

Caitlin was so amazing in every aspect. My blind cat, who is very nervous around and avoids new people, absolutely adored her and cuddled in her lap. Caitlin also sent so many pictures and updates throughout the evening, and my kitties were clearly comfortable with her! Most importantly, my power went out and thermostat broke during her stay, and Caitlin was so gracious and patient while maintenance came to diagnose the issue. Even though she didn’t have A/C for the rest of her stay, she was truly so kind and nice about the issue. I would 1000000% recommend her and will definitely book her again!

Our 18 year old kitty got sick right before we went away, and Caitlin went so far above and beyond to take care of her! She kept us updated, she administered a changing array of medications, and she kept our sweet kitty well cared for. I can’t thank her enough for all she did!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

New York cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
